Reviews
I stumbled across this restaurant while touring Verona. I did not have this restaurant listed in my itinerary to try however after coming here I absolutely can’t wait to come back! The food was one of the best that I’ve tried during my entire two weeks in Italy. I highly recommend coming here!
Unique place to enjoy the atmosphere after the opera.
The owner is a big, enthusiastic man for the opera and makes this place a perfect gift for the music lovers.
I took a punt on this very cute trattoria near my hotel. Apparently it used to have a Michelin star and lost it. It Has mixed reviews on Google. I must say the food is wonderful.. anchovies with toast and pistachio butter, followed by ombrina with cherry tomatoes on shavings of raw celeriac. The service was prompt and helpful..The soundtrack was provided by well known operatic arias.
Ghastly pasta dishes. We had some expectations. Duck was like dog food mixed with pasta. Worst meal we ever had in Italy. Oily aftertaste haunts you hours later. This restaurant relies on old goodwill. Torcola hotel nearby the night before was 10 times better. Do not expect a positve dining experience. Funnily enough we are not even fussy eaters, but we expected food to be edible if not tasty, it was worst than bland it was horrific. Best thing about this place was leaving, worst thing was rinsing mouth to get rid of the after taste. We glady paid the (hostage release fee) in full. My son vomitting back at our hotel but all felt quite sickly.
This experience was a bitter disappointment.
The interior promised a good level of service, but the waitress seemed to work the first day. She could not answer easy questions and said that there was no dry red wine. We had to call the other waiter to get it.
The food was far from our expectations. The duck leg tasted too sweet with a strong flavour of alcohol, and veal liver with onions was dry. The potatoes from the side dish resembled cardboard. Desserts were just ordinary, better ones could be found at any bakery.
Moreover, the bathroom is terrible! That's a shame for the restaurant with 100€ bills.
And finally, when I complained that I didn't like the food, the waitress didn't answer or ask anything.
To sum up, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, there are many nice places for the better price.
One of the best fillets I’ve ever eaten. Lovely spot near the Amphitheater, the prices scare off big crowds but service is very good and food is spectacular. Try the fillet with truffled mushrooms, the anchovy starter and the seafood pastas.
Definitely recommend. The restaurant itself is lovely inside, the staff was extraordinarily kind, and the food...kisses fingers. Delicious! We had the cheese platter which is a must! Risotto was perfectly cooked, bigoli was flavorful and unique, soup was warm and thick! Huge compliments to the chef. And it all looks beautiful. Well presented!!
Enjoyed the 7 dishes tasting menu with my husband. I have to say that this is literally the first time I enjoyed a risotto, never liked the al dente rice taste but the chef there has really handled the risotto perfectly. The rest is also quite nice, nice staff and environment as well
